On Thursday, Ms. Darling's class had the pleasure of another social thinking class taught by Mrs. Touchette. The topic of today's lesson was green and red thoughts. Mrs. T explained that we all have feelings and what people say and do around us, makes us feel a certain way. Green thoughts are happy feelings. Red thoughts can be many different feelings, such as angry, sad, scared, surprised; but none of them are good. As a class, we brainstormed ways to make our peers and adults in the school have green thoughts. Some examples were: listening, following directions, helping others clean up, checking in on friends, asking friends to play, and trying your best. Our class is excited to be giving others around RES green thoughts!
Green thoughts make us happy!
We all have feelings.
Red thoughts give us many different emotions, but none are good.
