The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Kindergarten is getting ready to see "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" at the Flynn Theater. We collected leaves and made our caterpillar. Next week, students will put the story in order. If you were a caterpillar, what would you eat?

Gingerbread Hunt!

Kindergarten students have been reading many different versions of the Gingerbread Man, Gingerbread Boy, and Gingerbread Girl. On Friday, we were able to bake our own gingerbread cookies! When we went to the cafeteria to pick them up, they were gone! Gingerbread cookies left clues around the school; we had to search high and low. We finally asked Mr. Rector if he would help us look for our cookies. We never gave up! Luckily, Mr. Rector chased down our cookies, and we got to eat them! It was a great day!

Math Tools

Students have been exploring the math tools they will use this year. We have discovered: pattern blocks, cubs, geoblocks, connecting cubes, and two-colored counters!

Class of Readers!

We have been practicing our read-to-self expectations. We find our books. Pick our spot, and read, read, read!
