Hi second graders and second grade families! I hope that everyone had a fun, safe and restful vacation! I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow (Monday, May 1st) and hear about the adventures you all went on! Here are the upcoming events for second graders for this week:

Tuesday, May 2nd: RES Run/Walk Club @ 2:45-3:45
Friday, May 5th: Reading log and Library books due
Friday, May 5th: RES Kid's Spring Fling @ 5:30-8:00

Taco fiesta! #resvt

On Wednesday, second graders had a taco fiesta to culminate our comparing cultures unit! Thank you to families who supplied ingredients necessary for our students to have a little taste of Mexico!

RES Kids Spring Fling! #resvt

We are happy to announce RES Kids Spring Fling! Parents enjoy a night out while your kids are having fun at the RES Kids Spring Fling! Event hosted by Mr. G and the RES PBIS Committee! All proceeds will benefit RES PBIS.

What: A fun kids night at RES (cup stacking, face painting, pizza, makerspace, gym games, and a dance party!)

When: Friday, May 5th at RES 5:30-8:00

What do we know about Chinese Culture?

As part of their Comparing Cultures unit, second graders at RES learned about different aspects of Chinese culture including education, food, the arts, language, celebrations, and clothing. Miss Darling's class put together this Voicethread slideshow with text, audio, and video comments about what they learned. We hope you enjoy it!
