About the Teacher
Hello there! My name is Kristin Darling and I teach Kindergarten at Richmond Elementary School in Richmond, Vermont. I earned a Bachelors of Science degree in elementary education K-6 from Johnson State College, Vermont. To continue my professional development I have taken courses in Responsive Classroom, social cognition, math, literacy, and technology. After graduating college in 2011, I started teaching first and second grade multi-age in a small school in southern Vermont. Here at RES, I represent my team on the district science committee, the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBiS) committee, and the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) committee.
I am born and raised in Vermont, and I am proud to say I am an alumni of Richmond Elementary School! I currently live with my cat Buttons, who loves to be outside! I am an avid Boston Bruins fan, former ice hockey player, and enthusiastic traveler. I am looking forward to sharing my passion for learning with you!
